Abstract:
Computer applications to analyze the slope stability of open-pit mines are very common and necessary work to solve complex calculations to determine the optimal pit-mine shape and slope. The coal industry in our country in the past is often familiar with documents from the former Soviet Union with specific and easy implementation instructions, while softwares originating from Western countries has a complex general approach. The article presents methods to calculate the stability of pit-mine slope such as Bishop, Spencer-Wright, Sarma applied in softwares, and also presents the overall application from creating geological database, modeling deposit, to creating sections, displaying 3D models, calculating pit-mine slope stability in case study of Deonai pit with using of GeoLynx, MapInfo and Galena softwares
