Abstract:

Drum electromagnetic separator widely used for extraction and processing of minerals, such as iron ore, magnetite, ilmenite having a strong and medium magnetism. The paper presents the finite element method to determine the magnetic field distribution generated by electromagnet system in magnetic separators. The method will improve the precision of calculations in separator’s designing.
