Abstract:
Currently, there are many electronic converters installed in the electrical networks, such as inverters, soft starters, etc. in operation at the underground mines. This causes the current owing through the transformer to distort, no longer sinusoidal and can cause the transformer to be overloaded, even working with the design specications. The article presents some results of studying the inuence of the mentioned transformers with electronic converters on their losses and heat release, as well as offers solutions for the proper operation of transformers in order to ensure their long-term and efcient operation
