Abstract:

The Nui Hong coal mine area, Thai Nguyen province has a rather complicated structure, the coal seams bulge and twist suddenly, making it difficult to link and identify the seams. On the basis of the combined application of traditional geological research methods with modeling methods and geological mathematical methods in the study of geological structure, morphological characteristics - coal seam structure, some conclusions are drawn as follows: The surface coal lenses are the in situ weathered coal portion of the deep coal seams; This is a new discovery to guide deep coal exploration in Nui Hong mine area in particular, Thai Nguyen coal basin in general. Coal seams have a structure from simple to complex, containing from 1 to 15 - 28 layers of rock partings, the angle of inclination varies quite large, from the group of seams with gentle slopes (<100) to steep slopes (70 - 750). Calculation results of thickness variation coefficient, cyclic modulus, seam discontinuity coefficient, inclination angle variation coefficient, reservoir distribution area and general criteria of displacement, Nui Hong mine area are. Classified in group of exploration mines III. From the research results, the author proposes orientations for mining exploration and development in Nui Hong area in particular and Thai Nguyen coal basin in general.
