Abstract:

Iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) deposits are currently one of the types of mines that many geologists are focusing their research on. They have attracted much attention among worldwide geologists and mineralogists due to their shallow depth, wide variety of mineral species, and large scale. This paper presents an overview of IOCG deposit research, which includes the definition of IOCG deposits with their temporal and spatial distribution, as well as ore-forming environments, ore-forming magmatic rocks, geological features, ore-controlling structures, ore-bearing rocks, mineralized alteration zoning, and the genesis and ore-forming process, which are all related to IOCG deposits. Based on their characteristics and definition, the study compares the IOCG deposits with the Sin Quyen deposit in Vietnam to determine the origin of this type of deposit at this place
