Research on Safe and Environmentally Friendly Blasting Techniques

Abstract:
This paper presents an overview of the current technological status of marine solid mineral prospecting, exploration, and exploitation in Vietnam and worldwide. In Vietnam, these activities remain fragmented and heavily dependent on imported technologies, lacking specialized equipment for deep-sea surveys and integrated databases for research and management. Conversely, several nations have successfully deployed advanced technologies, such as unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), seabed sensing systems, 3D digital stratigraphic modeling, digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI) for data analytics, and integrated real-time mining and processing systems. The paper synthesizes international experiences in applying modern technologies that are not yet prevalent in Vietnam. This serves as a foundation for orienting the selection, transfer, and localization of technologies tailored to Vietnam’s geological, technical, and financial conditions, aiming to enhance the efficiency of prospecting, exploration, and exploitation while increasing resource recovery rates. Finally, the paper proposes strategic orientations and solutions for high-tech development and application up to 2030, with a vision toward 2045.
