Abstract:

Alkaline refractory materials are indispensable raw materials in industrial production in the steel and cement rotary kiln. Material resources mainly from magnesite ore, however this ore resources in our country are scarce and conditions are very difficult to exploit. Meanwhile, sources rich dolomite and widely distributed in many localities. The paper introduces the technology of magnesium from dolomite production. Pattinson has been applied very effectively in Europe and in the US for more than 100 years. Using this technology can improve the content of magnesium oxide (MgO) from crude ores by 21 % to 85 %, fully meet the demand for magnesium production of bricks (required 83 % MgO). and many other industries.
