Abstract:

Powder factor and blast direction are two important parameters, which need to be identified when blasting. To quantitively detine these parameters, the data of joỉnt sets in pre-blasting rock mass need to be collected in the fied, which will take more time as well as cause the risk for colỉectors at high bench positions. Therefore, the authors propose to use 3D images established bỵ Shape Metríx3D ị to collect, analyse joint sets, facilitating to calculate a powder factor and a blasí direction 1 for better fragmentation.
