Abstract:
In recent years, the studies have provided solutions to improve the power efficiency in mining. One of the new solutions is the use high efficiency motors o replace the cage rotor asynchronous motor widely used in mines. For effective application, It is necessary to have an analysis for the effectiveness of the replacement of these motors. The content of this article analyzes the efficiency of using line start permanent magnet synchronous motor instead of asynchronous one in mining. The analysis results will help managers and operators save and useenergy efficiently in mining industry.
