Abstract:

The results of applying the technology of exploiting the diagonal coal face with the ZRY flexible shield to exploit the low deep coal seams at Vang Danh Coal JSC show that the ZRY technology is suitable for the geological-technical conditions of the research area, achieving economic-technical creteries, reducing coal losses and improving labour’s conditons. The characteristic of the currently applied ZRY technology scheme is that from the haulage roadway, cross entries must be excavated in front of the coal face to ventilate and load coal, and at the same time, it is necessary to maintain the horizontal roadway at the foot of the coal face, during the mining process between the coal face and the haulage roadway, above it’s crown pillars are formed. In order to save resources, those crown pillars are often extracted by room technology, But the loss of coal is still high, the cost of room mining is large, especially with many potential unsafety. To solve this problem, the authors have proposed the extracting technology scheme of the coal face wihout leaving coal pillars above the haulage roadway and successfully applied in the low deep coal seams in Vang Danh JSC and other companies of Vinacomin
