Abstract:

This paper revievvs the results achieved in implementing the policy of the Party and State on the development of bauxite-alumina -aluminium industry in general and 2 pilot bauxite projects in the Central Highlands: Lâm Đồng Bauxite and Aluminum Complex Project (in Tân Rai, Lâm Đồng) and the Nhan Co Alumina Project (in Đắc Nông). At the same time, the paper also pointed out the issues that need to be íurther studied and solved, proposed some recommendations and drawn some lessons learned to improve the efficiency of the two pilot bauxite projects as well as to promote continue to develop the bauxite-alumina-aluminium industry in the coming time.
