Abstract:

Draft of the National Energy Comprehensive Plan for the period 2021÷2030, with a vision to 2050 (NECP), was prepared according to the Decision of the Prime Minister No. 1743 /QD-TTg dated December 3, 2019 in order to replace the particular development plans of sub-sector energy, such as electricity, coal, oil, gas, and renewable energy. Because of the lack of connection between different agencies while regulating these Plans, many problems have appeared. Therefore, these Plans have not created a balanced, harmonious and comprehensive picture on the general goals that were set out by the National Energy Development Strategies. In addition, this time, these plans also have to be revised. The draft of NECP has been published for public consultation with energy sector experts. The article mentions comments of experts from Vietnam Mining Science and Technology Association for the draft of NECP.
