Abstract:
The inclination angle of the shearer drum spiral blade is an important parameter affecting the working mode of the shearer, including the efficiency of transferring coal to scrap conveyor. This paper presents the method to evaluate the coal loading process by shearer drum from the breaking zone to the scrap conveyor and the method for choosing the optimal inclination angle of the shearer drum spiral blade by performing motion analysis of coal flow from shearer drum to the scrap conveyor, and simulated on EDEM software with 5 different values of inclination angles 16o, 18o, 20o, 22o, 24o with a shearer drum diameter of 1800 mm.
