Determination of some indicators of locomotives operation on Viet Nam railways for 2015 -2020

Abstract:
In order to determine or forecast the traction power demand for Vietnam’s national railway in the period 2021 to 2030, it is necessary to use a number of input parameters, including the norms of locomotive exploitation in the past time, namely, the average running distance of the day and night, the average output of the day and night, the segment speed of the locomotive and the time the locomotive stops at the section and station. Therefore, the content of the article has synthesized statistics, thereby processing and determining the mentioned parameters for Vietnam’s railway lines in the period 2015-2020. The research method can also be partially applied to domestic industrial railways such as the coal transport industrial railway of Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited.
