Abstract:

Belt conveyors are widely used in the mining industry, used to transport waste rock, coal, minerals, ... in underground mines, open-pit mines, processing plants, ports, ... The efficiency of using conveyor belts affects the overall production efficiency of the using company. An important part of the belt conveyor is the rollers. Previously, conveyor rollers used in the mining industry were often made of steel. Plastic conveyor rollers have been used in the chemical and food industries due to the chemical corrosion resistance of this type of roller. Recently, some countries in the world have researched and manufactured Ultra-high molecular weight plastic rollers (UHMW-PE) for belt conveyors used in the mining industry. This article introduces general information about this type of conveyor roller and UHMW-PE rollers manufactured by Vinacomin - Hon Gai Mechanical Joint Stock Company.
